Step 1

Make a cryptocurrency exchange account and purchase Ether (ETH).

You can use any of the following popular exchanges: Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, and Gemini. When considering your budget, remember you’ll need a little extra to cover the gas costs for running the blockchain transactions.

Step 2

Register a Wallet. 

NFTs, similar to cryptocurrencies, are stored on wallets. Since SuperRare operates on the Ethereum blockchain, please register with an Ethereum Wallet compatible with SuperRare. Popular ones include MetaMask, Rainbow Wallet, and Trust Wallet

Step 3

Transfer purchased ETH from the crypto exchange to your ETH wallet.

In order to do this, you'll need to copy your public wallet address. Each app will be slightly different, but you'll be able to copy your public wallet address by either pressing on the address itself (beginning in 0x...) or pressing a copy address button.

Step 4

Connect your wallet on SuperRare to create your account.

To complete the account setup process, first select a wallet, choose WalletConnect, scan the QR Code with your compatible mobile wallet, then select the option to sign up for a new account, and fill in your information.

Step 5

Bid on Artwork

All Electric Psychedelia artworks will be listed with Reserve Auctions meaning that the set reserve price must be met to trigger the auction. Once the reserve is met, the auction is triggered, starting a 24-hour countdown to the end of the auction.

If a bid is placed within the last 15 minutes of an auction, the auction time is extended to 15 minutes after the time of the bid. 

Transaction costs, called “gas fees”, occur when bidding, buying, or selling NFTs. Please ensure that you have enough ETH in your wallet to cover any associated transaction costs.
